This course presents the system manager with the core information and essential skills needed to examine the system, both the hardware and the software configuration and the administrative setup. The course addresses specific system management responsibilities and shows how to check the network setup. The system manager must attend to system startup and shutdown, what happens and how to deal with problems. The ultimate failsafe against problems is an effective backup process.
