Overview

During this 4-day instructor-led training course, students will use their existing theoretical WAN/LAN knowledge to complete hands-on activities. At the end of the course, student will possess the necessary skills to migrate from Cisco routing & switching environment to HP A-Series routing & switching environment and see the benefits of HP A-Series non-proprietary implementations.

Audience

Cisco Certified Engineers (i.e., CCNAs, CCNPs, CCIEs), Network and System Administrators.

Prerequisites

Basic fundamental LAN/WAN networking knowledge.
Theoretical knowledge of the following WAN protocols & services:-
PPP
RIP
OSPE
BGP
MPLS
QoS
ACLs
NAT
VRRP
IPv6

Key topics

Upon successful completion of this course, the students will have the demonstrated ability to migrate from Cisco routing/switching environment to H3C/3Com routing/switching environments. Most particularly, they will master the deployment & configuration of the following protocols & services:-
Routing, Switching, Routing Information Protocol (RIP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), quality of service (QoS), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), MPLS, IPv6.
Differentiate the various routing/switching implementation between the two vendors.
Troubleshooting.
Configuring and designing HP A-Series LAN/WAN solutions.
STP, RSTP, MSTP, access control list (ACL), network address translation (NAT), QoS and Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol VRRP.
Realize the benefits of non-propitiatory technologies.
